3rd Shot

After serving, opponents are at the kitchen. You're at the baseline. The 3rd shot drop is the cornerstone of advanced pickleball.

Drop to middle kitchen

Soft arc into the opponent's middle kitchen. Net is 34" at center (vs 36" at edges). Removes angles, eliminates Erne risk. Advance to kitchen after every drop.

THE shot to master. Aim for net-tape height — not over it. This is what separates 3.5 from 4.0+.
